My Top 10 Favourite TV Theme Songs

EDIT - A change to the No.10 spot!

It's been a while since I've done a Top 10 Meme. So, here's my Top 10 Favourite TV Theme Songs. I've provided YouTube links to the themes so that you can listen to them:

10. Constantine. While it saddens me that us Aussies may never be able to see this show (which means we're stuck with the Keanu Reeves version), the theme song is absolutely kick-ass! Composed by Emmy-Award winner Bear McCreary (who also did The Walking Dead and Da Vinci's Demons), not only does it suit the character of John Constantine perfectly, but it has this awesome mix of orchestra strings and synth instruments. It truly sets the theme of this dark and often hilarious character. www.youtube.com/watch?v=z4YOPx…

9. The IT Crowd. Again, this is a show I haven't seen (but my brother has), but despite that, this is one wicked theme. The way it suddenly goes into orchestra and then back to the digital music is just awesome! www.youtube.com/watch?v=5C1WB3…

8. Gruen. The reason I called this Gruen and not The Gruen Transfer is because the theme song has never changed throughout its incarnations! But this is a good thing. The theme song works great. www.youtube.com/watch?v=qPHdbr…

7. Spicks and Specks. This is one theme song I'll never get sick of. Every time this theme played at the beginning of the show, I would always sing along to it. It's fun, quirky and puts you in the mood for some great comedy! www.youtube.com/watch?v=fk7qRZ…

6. Monk (Randy Newman Version). Now THIS is bound to cause some controversy. I know there are some people who prefer the first theme (the instrumental by Jeff Beal), but I think this suits the character more. www.youtube.com/watch?v=L_IOsL…

5. Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends. An original show needs an original theme, and this is one of the most original I've ever heard. With all due respect to Danny Elfman, THIS is the theme that should've won the Emmy, not that Desperate Housewives crap. www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZiB_S…

4. Inspector Gadget. Ah yes. One of the all-time greatest theme songs ever, and quite possibly the greatest cartoon theme song ever! It's instantly catchy, and while the 1999 movie was a load of crap, the theme was at least done justice in the movie. www.youtube.com/watch?v=psnCd3…

3. Red Dwarf. This is one awesome theme! I love that the theme isn't your typical space adventure theme like Star Trek (no offense ^^;), but instead is a fun epic theme that tells you that things are going to get funny. www.youtube.com/watch?v=fwEeWI…

2. Cardcaptor Sakura (Season 3). Out of all the anime theme songs, this one tops that list. It's beautiful, and the mix of drums and strings bring the whole thing together in one epic theme. The closing theme from the 2nd series of Cardcaptor Sakura is also my favourite anime closing theme. www.youtube.com/watch?v=q91TXB…

1. Whose Line is it Anyway? (UK). Now don't get me wrong. The US version remains my all-time favourite TV show, but if there was one thing I didn't like, it was the theme. The US theme, while still enjoyable, doesn't have the same feeling as the UK one. The UK one is overall lots of fun! www.youtube.com/watch?v=ycHNEm…
Here's the closing theme, which in my opinion is better than the opening: youtu.be/RFiviOEiUCc?t=5m56s

I agree with you on the Randy Newman theme from Monk. Can I use this template for my own personal deviation? Please let me know either way.
